THE RITZ-CARLTON RESIDENCES & ART STUDIO

January 11, 2016

Architect Piero Lissoni Designs First-Ever Residential Art Studio

The Miami artist and sculptor Tatiana Blanco, who advised Lissoni on many parts of the art studio, said, “Many people say, ‘I used to do art, and I don’t have time anymore.’ Having an art studio in your building is like having a gym downstairs. No more excuses.” For additional inspiration, residents will have access to a library filled with art books within the art studio, and an entire wall of light that mimics north-faced, natural light.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences is unveiling yet another exciting surprise for the 111 condominiums and 15 single-family villas that will open in Miami Beach in 2016. An art studio—the first in the world for a residential development—is now implemented among other amenities, and is designed to inspire people to express themselves. The Italian architect and designer Piero Lissoni said, “I liked the idea of having a simple and calm space. A quiet room to create.”

In addition, residents will be able to enjoy easels for painting, wall space for canvases, a stone surface for sculpting, a table for jewelry making, and a working sink as well.
