Introducing Executive Chef Ed Boncich
Born in Olin, a small island in the Northern Adriatic Sea within Croatia, Chef Ed Boncich brings with him a simple and straightforward approach to his food.
Chef Ed comes from an extensive culinary background having worked with a number of renowned chefs, including Food Network Star and James Beard Award winning Chef Bobby Flay and Food & Wine Top 10 Chef Matthew Kenney. He has also been personal chef to the Miami Heat’s President, Pat Riley.
Chef Ed entered the hotel industry as part of the opening team at the Four Seasons in Downtown Miami and also worked at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. He has worked for the Four Seasons Resort & Spa on the island of Nevis, where he fell in love with the Caribbean and began his 13-year journey around the islands, creating delicacies at locations including Pink Sands Resort on Harbor Island in the Bahamas, Ladera Resort in St. Lucia, Blue Waters Resort in Antigua and The Riviere House Restaurant on the island of Nevis.
Chef Ed is looking forward to sharing his experiences as the Executive Chef of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach. He has crafted a personalized menu showcasing his philosophy utilizing only the finest ingredients and bringing together local and seasonal flavors accented with the Mediterranean tastes of his roots.
