Thirty-six years of landscape work around the world have prepared the Fort Lauderdale-based Rhett Roy for one of its buzziest commissions to date: the 7-acre grounds of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach.

The modern vision of renowned Italian architect Piero Lissoni will transform the existing structure into a stand-alone Ritz-Carlton Residences, one of a select few in the world.

An equally chic cocktail party in honor of Fried & True took place on Monday, June 2, as Lionheart Capital, developer of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach, and Yardbird Southern Table & Bar hosted a summer kick-off event at the luxury residential development’s sales gallery.

On Monday evening, one of Miami’s most well dressed ladies Kelly Gold and I headed to The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach, the luxury residential development situated on Surprise Lake, where more than 200 Miami socialites and celebrities alike gathered, such as Harry Casey of KC and the Sunshine Band. Also present were Iran Issa-Khan, Sam Robin, Ophir Sternberg, Ricardo Dunin, Megan Riley and Carrie Copeland.

Piero Lissoni is a “pure modernist,” at least that’s the way he describes himself. “I am a contemporary person,” he says. So when Lionheart Capital, developer of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach, turned to the award-winning architect to design its latest property, it may have seemed to some like an odd choice for an iconic brand so rooted in tradition.
